Safe care for your horse

Equestrian Chiropractic

Equestrian Chiropractic

Equine Chiropractic can manage a number of potential health and performance issues with your horse. The care is not intended to be a substitute for traditional medical horse care. It is intended to help keep your horse at the peak of its performance.

At any performance level there is a potential for your horse to acquire an abnormal gait or faulty movement pattern. This could prevent your horse from reaching its full potential. Chiropractic has been found to be effective in helping with these possible movement issues, as well as relieving neck and back discomfort.

Chiropractors will detect back, pelvic and leg dysfunctions. By using gentle manipulations, musculoskeletal tensions and restrictions can be released.

Our Equine Chiropractor, Ida-Marie Askvig, has a five-year full-time degree in Chiropractic, has a post graduate qualification in Equine chiropractic from the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) and has done courses on the rider and horse biomechanics, as well has having experience from competing in both show jumping and dressage. Having grown up as the daughter of a veterinarian and a keen horse rider herself, Ida has been around horses all her life. Her passion is to help you and your horse function to the best of your abilities.
