After injuring my knee which was painful and swollen I also tore my calf muscle which was very swollen and bruised and I was hardly able to walk without a walking stick. I attended your clinic about a year ago. I saw Oliver Plunkett at the Dorridge Practice. I just wanted to drop you an email to say that, one year on, I was so grateful for the help I received. I am 50 years old and Mr Plunkett was the first person that suggested that I had Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and suggested that I pursued a diagnosis. One year on, I am still trying to get a diagnosis (Covid-19 has not been helpful in my actually seeing a consultant that is able to do this)! However, my symptoms are so indicative of EDs that I was able to become a member of the EDs society and local support group. I have had lots have help and advice that is helping me to understand difficulties and health issues that I have had and am experiencing now. I do have quite a range of problems which seem to have this common underlying cause.
